Shuttles to return guests to The Plaza, Vincci, and Three Olive Trees are scheduled for 12:00 am, 1:00 am, and 2:00 am. Taxis will be available, at your own cost, for those who wish to leave earlier.

Starting in 2025, U.S. citizens traveling to Greece and other Schengen Area countries will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) before their trip. This isn't a visa but an online travel authorization aimed at bolstering security. The application will be straightforward and can be completed online in a few minutes. Once approved, ETIAS will allow multiple entries into the Schengen Area for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, similar to the current visa-free entry but with added pre-authorization.

To apply for ETIAS, travelers will need a valid U.S. passport, personal information, and travel details, as well as to pay a small processing fee (about €7). The authorization will be valid for three years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. It’s advised to apply at least 96 hours before travel to ensure timely processing, though most approvals are quick.

To apply for ETIAS authorization, U.S. citizens should visit the official European Union ETIAS website, which will handle all ETIAS applications once the system is live. The website link will be announced closer to the 2025 launch date and should be accessed through reliable sources like the European Commission's official travel portal or ETIAS Europe’s official site.

Guests should plan to fly into The International Airport of Athens (ATH). This airport facilitates year-round domestic and international flights from numerous countries. The Athens airport is approximately 35 minutes from Anavyssos, which is the name of the town where our recommended hotels and wedding venue are located.

Opting for the Athens airport taxi service is an excellent choice, particularly for groups of three or more people and families. For a taxi from Athens International Airport to Anavyssos, the typical cost is around €50 during the day and may increase slightly at night to €70. This journey takes approximately 40 minutes, covering a distance of about 30 km.

For Sounio, the fare usually starts at €50 for daytime transfers and may vary slightly depending on the provider. The ride is around 46 km, and it typically takes about 50 minutes.

These prices are for standard sedan taxis and may vary with different providers or vehicle options. Booking in advance ensures fixed rates without additional fees.

BUSES
Regional buses, known as "KTEL," operate routes between Athens and Sounio, passing through Anavyssos. These buses are relatively affordable and comfortable, and they run frequently, especially in the summer.

Our wedding will take place at Hatzi Estate (Ktima Xatzi), which is built on top of the hill of Synterina in the beautiful hills off of the Athenian Coast. Hatzi Estate is located next to the two central roadways of the coastal Avenue to Sounio and Lavriou Avenue from Attiki Odos, just 30 minutes from Athens International Airport, 10 minutes away from Anavyssos, and 20 minutes away from Sounio.

For your convenience, we recommend staying near the venue in Anavyssos. We highly encourage you to book your accommodations as early as possible to secure the best options as our wedding falls at the beginning of the high season.
